Alright, the first chapter of my SD Gundam Force fanfic, so please feel free to critique me in places, this is just my first fic that I've done for SDGF that I've done in a while.
“Nana!” I didn’t know how it happened. Nana was by the table, far away from the road, when Iturned to get the potato salad packed. My mom insisted on a picnic, to celebrate Nana’s first birthday. My dad was going to go without his guitar! This was important for everyone. When I turned back though, Nana was crawling onto the road! I ran after her, hoping that no one was coming, and if there was, that they’d be able to stop for a baby. Unfortunately, there was someone coming, fast. “Nana!” The last thing I could remember seeing was my neighbor being pulled away in an ambulance, and Nana was in my arms, frightened by the scene she saw. It all happened too quickly. I could only see blurs. “W-what happened?” Captain came running. Along with my mom and dad. I was busted, for not watching Nana. “Is everyone alright?” Captain was looking around, trying to see how he could assist in the situation. “There appears to have been an accident.” Mom was busy hugging Nana and I. She did a little too much hugging, though. When she let go, she was busy questioning me about what happened. Dad was talking to the driver. He looked too sorry; he couldn’t help the fact that the speed limit was a bit too high. But then again, I could’ve kept Nana in her crib. When Mom was done with her questions, I couldn’t help but listen in on the conversation Dad, and one of the police gundam who came, was having with the driver. “….The little tyke was going towards the road, but then someone came in and took the blow.” “Did you see who it was?” The gundam was taking notes of what had happened. “I didn’t know her, she was a girl in probably the eighth grade, straight hair, she was wearing a red vest and a collared shirt, the shirt was black. She was just walking when she saw the scene, I didn’t see her jump down until too late.” “She’s still alive, that’s the good thing.” My dad turned to Mom, Nana, and I. “We better get to the picnic before dark! And you can join us, Captain!” The moment felt a little better, after everyone realized that their stomachs were roaring with pleasure at the thought.
“Nana!” I thought that I knew the voice. I was on my nightly round, watching the castle grounds. Who’d know when evil would strike once more? The human knights had a long day of work, training, and teaching the incoming paladins. “Zero,” It was Artemese, a human knight. “It is my turn for the nightly rounds. You’ve been doing these for twelve straight, more than you need to do at a time. Get some rest.” The weakness of every gundam was overworking. Like humans, we needed some rest too, but very rarely do we need to. Only when our energy supply was really low, and for the Lacroan gundam, when our magic was low too. Our energy and magic were intertwined, so I needed to get rest, soon. The state that I was to take on to recover my energy was a lot like human sleep, more than the state Captain took on the one time that he did. “Nana!” I was sure that I was resting, not seeing this scene in, Neotopia? I was sure that I was still in Lacroa, but now, I saw Shute call out to his little sister, Captain was running to the scene. But worst of all, a fair maiden was running in front of a vehicle, trying to protect Nana. The van was sure to crush her, as the magnificent wheels were ready to run her over. I somehow, was able to jump in, and grab the both of them away from the wheels. My shield, however, fell from my grip, and came crashing on the maiden’s head. She fell, unconscious. The van though, passed, trying to slow down, hoping that nothing bad had happened. The girl was safe, alive, although there was a chance of amnesia being the cost. She got up, faced me, her eyes were half open though, and from her lips escaped only a few words before she collapsed once more; “Who are you?” I just watched in awe. 'How did I get here? Was there a way back?' “Zero, Zero, wake up.” I opened my eyes, (which I thought were already open) to come face to face with the princess of Lacroa herself, Rele. “Is something wrong?” “N-nothing, your highness.” Rele still had the look of concern on her face, she wasn’t going to take a simple ‘no’ for an answer. She sighed, and walked on, showing me that the new day had finally came, and that there was work to be done. I just couldn’t keep the maiden that I saw out of my mind though, it was as if I knew her, for longer than that one moment.
